Nice video, almost had the same build as you but dont have healing hands yet so i went for tactics instead, cant handle that kind of mobs as well but 6 griffin at one time is still doable.

Monk friend of mine does that, just at a slightly slower pace, i do it with a pure warrior build. My hp jump back and forth more than his, due to the different style, but the lack of casters makes it easier. Most of my damage is generated via gladiator's defense though.

The original poster's method makes it look stylish compared to mine though, where there is alot of shifting between offense and defense in mine.
What's your friend's monk build? I'm interested in trying to take on more than three min's or two grif's at a time.

I know the minotaurs and griffons did some damage to him when they hit. Primarially he used a smiting setup with balthazar's aura and shield of judgement for damage. If i recall correctly he also used the skill that extends the enchantments of monk spells. Beyond that, i dont remeber as its been awhile, but i think he had to bring more protection orientated skills in order not to get damaged too quickly, compared against his normal farming setup. I typically wasnt with him most of the time when he went farming or id have a better idea of his complete build. He had to make comprimises when dealing with the minotaurs and griffons compared to the undead he normally killed though.

As far as his ability was to take on groups was less than in the video and would usually top out at around 4-5 minotaurs. Griffons on the other hand tend to only attack in pairs per group. Their behavior in multiple groups is a little different though. By your account, id imagine that you have something close to what he was running. If i can get a hold of him, ill post again with the complete build. Its been a little over a week since i chatted with him over TS. Different time zones and different games can complicate things.

I tried this build swapping Mending with Balthazar's Aura and tried by the griffons outside of Destiny's Gorge. It's taken the Griffons down a lot faster and I try to round up about two groups of them to take on at once; at most about 6-7 griffons.

I get tired of swapping out skills all the time so i made a build that seems to be balanced.

I can farm the griffons (not as many as the video of course =P ) and do normal stuff like Uw and Fissure.

Here are my attributes.

W/Mo
Healing: 10
Axe Mastery: 12 + 1 Rune
Tactics: 8 + 1 rune + 1 helm

Skills:

Bonetti's Defense
Cyclone Axe
Gladiator's Defence
Executioner's Strike
Penetrating Blow (This skill is a wild card, I suppose anything useful can go here)
Mend Ailment
Vigorous Spirit
Live Vicariously

I played around with so many build trying to find a balanced build that can farm and play regularly. I even tried things like W/N and a W/E with meteor shower.. dont ask..

Wow, I've been using a similar (two skills different) build for quite some time and I've never been able to get more than 9 griffons on me at once. I'm going to try your way now, besides, I've perfected my Beacon's-Droknar running so I need something else to do now.

I was able to take on two of the griffon groups (about 8 i assume) without loosing much health at all. The key is going into battle with gladiators defense while bonetti's charges.
Then when you use bonnetti's, dont use any skill until bonetti's is almost gone, then cyclone axe to refill it immediately. Repeat that until gladiators defense recharges, which is usually the same time Vigorous Sprirt runs out, so you can pop both of those on at the same time and deal your damage. Then repeat the whole thing over again Works pretty well.

Edit:
Actually this does work on a large number of them, although without mending its hard to round up alot of them. I ran through and got about 3 groups of them along with about 3 groups of minotaurs and my helath stayed above 50% constantly, cyclone axe fills it right up.

Decided to post some pics of my build in action. I didnt gather all of them because it would be cutting it close without mending. My health stayed pretty high, everytime cyclone axe recharged I let her rip comletely filling my health. Then popping on bonetti's right after.

Kalgareth that was amazing, nice job- makes me feel like my ranger is useless other than owning in uw...... Maybe i'll start a W/Mo....

Btw, i guess there is absolutely no way for rangers to farm... but if some genius has come up with a way, please tell!

I find these videos absolutely wondeful. I am glad that people still can find a way to have fun, despite ArenaNet's attempts to destroy the fun, albeit indirectly.
My ranger can do that with griffons too! (But only two at a time )

Hats off to ya!!

Another semi-secret spot gone.. Oh well I've been farming that area for close to a week or so, and the drops aren't really that good though.

You'll end up with collectors items most of the time (i.e. griffin wings/minotaur horns), and weirdly enough for me, over a week I'd say at least 30% of my item drops were shields (non-maxed though). Only got 2 decent gold items though.

Props to the topic-starter though... that's some skill rounding up and surviving that assault
